Luring in the innocent

Fucking Scientologists! Need I say more?
Not enough that they try and lure people off the street now they are luring in teens by staging a "Human right forum" which was more of a ploy to let them know about Scientology.
Makes me sick! It really truly does!

10 Insights or Insults:

Yeah, sure.
When we spend thousands of hours volunteering in hurricane-stricken lands, feeding people and vaccinating children, it's all just a stunt.
When we travel (at our own expense) to Indonesia to help grieving survivors get on with their lives, it's all just a stunt.
When we do blood-drives and toy-drives, it's all just a stunt.
When we tutor kids in the community so that they can get good grades, it's all just a stunt.
When we pioneer a major human-rights initiative that's getting international acclaim, it's all just a stunt.
We Scientologists, we go to such lengths.

And of course, it is completely inconceivable that we might actually be concerned citizens trying to do some good. Out of the question. Impossible.

Sincerely,
Greg

Well golly gee, the Hell's Angels and the Bandidos do toy drives too!

Who knew that Scientologists and bikers had so much in common.

Caz 28 March 2007 at 4:20 pm

And Goherbal - people who don't believe in a god or in aliens also, and FAR MORE FREQUENTLY, and FAR MORE OF THEM, do every single one of the "good deeds" that you've listed.

There's nothing special about what you're claiming. There is absolutely nothing unique about you claiming that Scientologists do these things.

Millions of people across the world, using their own time and their own money, undertake all of those activities, and more, without being Scientologists. Those "other" people out weight the efforts of Scientologists by a factor of tens of millions.

So, a big "whoopee" to your boastful claims of virtue.

I just want to make it clear that I discriminate and hate all people equally.
So this isn't just about the Scientologists pushing their beliefs on young teens in the guise of a NON RELIGIOUS humanitarian forum, I would be mad about it if it were Christians, Catholics, or even Buddhists for that matter!

I am all for freedom of thought/religion and I respect anyone's belief system if they choose to believe it.
What I do NOT respect is those that try to push their agenda/belief system onto other people.
If someone wants to be a part of any given religion it should be up to them to seek out that religion rather than have the religions try to recruit people.

And when teenagers come out of a situation like this feeling like they were deceived and lured into propaganda situation then yes I think its wrong.

Okay I'm done ranting now. Time for more coffee.

Plus, the Scientologists believe some really wacky shit - and I mean wacky even when compared to other wacky religious beliefs like Christ rising from the dead.

Just to be absolutely clear - when I say "really wacky shit", I mean absolutely batshit crazy insane. See here for more information.

Like, who the fuck would be dumb enough to buy into this religion - and I use the word "buy" quite intentionally.

Chazz 30 March 2007 at 8:55 am

Damn James, here I am trying to be tactful and polite and you just come straight out with it!
Good on ya mate!!!!!!!!

Caz 30 March 2007 at 9:35 pm

Let's never forget that old Hubbard was the one who said that the way to get really rich was to invent a religion. So he did.

He must have spent his entire life chuckling about aliens being dropped into volcanos and their little alien spirits jumping into people's heads.

What a hoot!

And having to sit holding onto some sort of cleansing audit machine. (It's probably an adapted water filter from WalMart.)

Looney? Looney?

Could it possibly be any loonier?!

Kathy Farrelly 30 March 2007 at 10:44 pm

'Bout as loony as it get's I reckon.

Really it isn't what you would call a Religion.

More like a cult..

The cult only goes back as far as the 60's.

What, so all Christians have been mislead for centuries eh?

And finally Hubbie and the aliens
have discovered the truth!

Oh... Puuulleese!!!
