What a beautiful looking cat Chazz.

Such unusual markings.

He'd certainly be hard to spot in the forest!

Caz 16 March 2007 at 8:56 pm

Oh wow - how absolutely gorgeous.

Wild cats are sooooo prurty.

This is an amazing find.

Ah James, ask and yea shall receive.

The Avatar-Briefs family do whatever you damned well tell them to - it's like having have a bunch of magic fairies on your side. Not everyone can lay claim to that now, can they.

"The Avatar - Briefs family do whatever you damned well tell them to-"

Okay girls, can ya send me a case of Heemskerk Tasmania Sparkling Pinot Noir Chardonnay..(.2004)

Chazz 22 March 2007 at 1:17 pm

Hmmm sorry Kath the best I can do is a mostly full bottle of Malibu and about a 1/4 of a bottle of vodka. Will that do? LOL

James Waterton 23 March 2007 at 12:36 am

Hehe does anyone remember Men Behaving Badly? Wasn't one of the unspoken rules of maledom that we mustn't drink Malibu in pubs?

At home's a different story, though...

James Waterton 23 March 2007 at 12:39 am

PS. Kath - have you tried Stefano Lubiana sparkling Pinot Noir Chard? The non-vintage is about $35, but it's tops. If you want to really lash out, get the vintage - it's the best Aussie sparkling wine out there, no question about it. A snap at $60.

Kathy Farrelly 23 March 2007 at 11:49 am

Hmm Chazz, thanks for the offer but I think I'll skip the vodka.

Got absolutley blitzed on vodka years ago when I was your age.

I drank a whole bottle while playing euchre with friends while at Jurien Bay on holiday.

I'll never forget it.

The street lights were converging in the middle of the road, and seemed to be dancing as I swayed and swaggered along.

I was sick as, mate.

Tried to walk it off a bit..

Didn't work...

Put me off the stuff for life!(well...ALMOST!)

I have never been as pissed as that again.

Mind you I can hold my liquor a lot better these days too!(more experienced!)

And my tastes have changed.

Not as expensive as yours though James.

Sheesh! 35 bucks a bottle eh James?
Must be good stuff.

But $60... I could get 3 bottles of Heemskerk for that!

Where did you acquire these expensive tastes James?

In other words who paid for the champers eh?

Caz 25 March 2007 at 1:39 am

Don't know that I've seen that one here James, but it must be available, surely? Or is this a secret W.A wine, not for the eastern states?

I love my sparklings, so I've written down the details and will go in search.

Kathy Farrelly 25 March 2007 at 5:54 pm

If you like your sparklings Caz , then I reckon you'd love the Heemskerk sparkling pinot noir chardonnay.

You could probably pick up a bottle for around $25.

And the stuff is available in Victoria.

Try Private Cellar Wines .

I buy in bulk from them and they are based in Victoria.

Hey sister , we gotta get together for a few champers (I mean bottles not glasses) one day eh?

James Waterton 25 March 2007 at 8:32 pm

Caz: Stefano Lubiana sparklings will be available at any decent wine merchant shop or well-stocked bottlo. Better still, why not just take a day trip down to Tassie and pick some up from the cellar door?

Kath:

But $60...

Yeah, but $60 buys you the best Australian sparkling available, period. Agreed - $60 is steep for an Australian bubbly.

Where did you acquire these expensive tastes James?

I managed a liquor store in an expensive Perth suburb in a previous life.

who paid for the champers eh?

Mostly suppliers, sometimes the shop owners and (as occasionally as I could make it) me. Look, I was on a crappy wage there - gotta have some perks!

Kathy Farrelly 25 March 2007 at 9:17 pm

Yeah.. I'm with you James..

Get those perks while you can mate!

I sorta thought, that's how you got introduced to the stuff mate.

Let's face it , ya sure sure can't afford to buy the stuff . Know I couldn't anyway.

Had a night out at Houghton's winery last night.

Bjorn Again and the pixie chicks.

Great for the kids..
Acoustics were RS though.

The cab sav merlot,,, is not a bad drop !

Caz 25 March 2007 at 11:18 pm

Ah, that's a Tassie produce James?

Definitely want to give it a burl then.

I am very, very fond of a mid-range Tassie sparkling, label is "9 Island" (I think - I know what the picture looks like :-D )

It's a beaut drop, so I have nice thoughts of the Tassie output already.

Ah Kath, wouldn't it be a treat, hey?

Recently exchanged pictures with Mr & Mrs Drunka - lovely to see the real people behind the blog. What a hoot it would be if we could all get together?

Who knows, who knows, perhaps some day I'll be lurking in Perth?

Harry keeps threatening to meet up when he is down this way. Now that would be a night to remember, I suspect!
